The debate about the church's relationship with homosexuals has been a big topic in recent years. Sometimes with a tendency to forget that it is actually about the lives and struggles of specific people.
This book tells the story of an overlooked group: Christian homosexuals who believe that homosexual intercourse is contrary to God's will and have therefore chosen not to live in homosexual relationships. Many of them are in a tight spot. From a Christian perspective, they are often met with silence or a lack of understanding for their situation. From within the homosexual community, there is often only contempt for their desire not to live out their sexuality.
The nine brave people who talk about their lives and feelings are of different ages and life situations. Some come forward openly, others choose to remain anonymous. Some can talk about important changes in their sexuality that mean they no longer define themselves as homosexual, others cannot. But they share a belief that all of God's commandments are good, even when they deeply challenge us.
