We sort and select the best recycled gold, which is resold in our thrift store - and we would love to have you on the team. 🤗

Mission Africa has 54 thrift stores, a webshop and a sorting center. You can become a volunteer by contacting your local thrift store. Find addresses and contact information for your nearest Mission Africa thrift store here .

You can also contact our office and get help finding the nearest store that is in need of volunteers.

With us you get:

We hope that you:

  • I have time at least once a week for 2-4 hours. We are flexible with which days - and you can always swap.
  • Some of us have an eye for quality and detail - others spend their energy on other things. Fortunately, we have room for diversity.
  • Maybe you have an interest in recycling, fashion or home decor. Otherwise, you'll learn it quickly. ♻️

Maybe you are:

  • Students who want to spend some daytime hours making a climate difference or gaining experience for your CV.
  • On early retirement or pension and still want to make a difference in a meaningful community.
  • Otherwise, we just hope you have a few hours a week that you would like to spend on something meaningful.

Here you can see some of what we do in our store:

  • Preparing goods 👚

    First, we sort the items that have come in from donations, the clothing container or the recycling center. We make sure that all products are clean and presentable before they are put up for sale in the store. It's always exciting how much things will cost and what sells.

  • Customer service ❤️

    We staff the store and ensure a good atmosphere for our customers. Here you can always have a short chat and spread smiles.


    Our customers are generally really nice - and the majority are here to have a good time. 😊

  • Pickup and delivery 🚚

    In some of our stores there is a greater need to pick up and deliver goods. We also drive to the recycling center with the leftovers from our sorting. In some places we also pick up goods from the recycling center.
